I have received some emails of thanks and thought I would share them as to me they add to what was one of the best weekends

I have had in the Corps.  Bungy

Hi Bungy,
many thanks to you and Molly for organising a cracking weekend and fantastic reunion venue.

I am sorry I did not get to talk to both you and molly as much as I would have liked but you both looked quite busy throughout the day.

I have sent my photographs to Molly's email if you did not receive them I can send them again.

I especially like the phot of Molly bearing his gums on the Endurance Course.

Sorry for the quality of the photographs but I was breathing through my arse at the time.
I hope to attend the London parade this coming Sunday and then on to the venue at Lancaster House,

I have been told that this is a ticket event and would be grateful if you could point me in the

right direction to obtain a ticket for the Lancaster House party.
kind regards to both you and Molly
soon

Terry Bellingham

Bungy,

Just a few lines to thank you, Molly and the rest of the organisers of the reunion weekend. It was great fun if a little scary

seeing some of those grizzly old &%^$£^(‘s again after all these years.

Your efforts were truly appreciated

Kind regards

Paul Leahy

Bungy,

Thanks for organising a great weekend.

Fantastic to see everyone again, and I had forgotten what it was like to go on the piss with the RM!

It will take me 5 years to recover in time for the next one.

I am interested in supporting the local branch of the RMA.

Can you let me have details of how I can get in touch with them, given that I live on the North London/South Herts border?

Many thanks

Paul Sheridan

Bungy

Sorry for the delay but I have been abroad on hols.  Thank you for a great weekend, it was quite nostalgic.

What is happening with the web site, hopefully I will be able to bring my mate up to date.

He was in K Coy but suffered PTS after the war and turned to the drink.

He is now teetotal and on the road to recovery and asked what the weekend was like.

Get in touch soon. Take care and once again thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Kind regards

Hi Bungy

Now that the dust has settled and the head has cleared a little it is time to thank you and all your helpers for organising the reunion.

Brilliant weekend from the common to Bickleigh the fun never stopped and the drinks flowed even faster.

What a credit todays lads in 42 are, giving up their time for us, we knew how precious weekends were

and they gave up theirs and remained polite, friendly and informative all the time.

The whole period was magic to take part in, I'm with 6 RIFLES at the moment and I can tell you that we would

have given them a run for their money in turnout and bearing, marching and stamina. Never realised I could still drink so much,

either that or someone had access to my wallet. 2012 firmly in diary and looking forward to it already.

Once again many thanks and best regards to you and your helpers.

Regards George Martin

Dear Bungy,

We just had to drop you a line to say thank you for all the effort you and lots of

other people put into making the 42 reunion happen, it really was a great day

and so good to see so many old faces.

The events that were arranged meant even our 21 and 19 year olds enjoyed it

and it made them very proud to see what their dad had been part of.

Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved and again thank you for a great day.

   Regards

 Jerry [  JB ] & Mandy Lowe

Hi Molly,
A quick note to thank you, Bungy and the rest of your team  for organising such a tremendously
successful reunion.
I have to say I was a little concerned at the cost and effort of getting there for
such a short time but am happy to say that it was thoroughly worthwhile and both Flic and I
enjoyed ourselves immensely. Well done and thank you for sticking you hands up to do the
next one I'm saving
already, although I can assure you that I have inspected the interiors of the Endurance
Course tunnels for the last time.
Molly I hope your daughter is having a great time Downunder please give her our contact details
as we would be delighted to have her to stay if she is in the area. Hope we might see you sometime also.
We live in Tuamarina just north of Blenheim which is top of the SI.
Anyway thank you again for an incredibly well run smooth and enjoyable weekend.  BZ.
Best regards to you and the team.

Bungy, Molly

A very belated e-mail.. Thank you to you both for a fantastic week-end.

It couldn't have gone any better which is all credit to you for yet

another well organised 'get together'.

I must admit the thought of drill on the Saturday afternoon did not fill me with

enthusiasm having the combination of being as hot as hell and the fact of

still feeling p****d from Friday night !

See you in 2012 if not before..Best regards

Ian Rickck

Bungy

just to say thank you to yourself and everyone else who assisted in the organising

and general pulling together of the 42cdo reunion last weekend.

It was an excellent event and thoroughly enjoyed

Thank You

George Bath

Molly

I would like to thank you and all the committee for all the effort put into an excellent weekend,

which was over all to quickly. My girlfriend and I are already looking forward to five years time

but I am sure we will meet up with some of the lads before then.

Can you  put my name down for a 42 CDO tie, meant to do it last night but once started talking /drinking your shop was closed.

Should any of the limited edition badges still be available I would take one of them off you to.

I am aware that a number of the lads did the Endurance course to raise money.

Should we just send it forward to Corps Charity or if you want I would be willing to act as the contact point

then send funds forward in one donation along with the completed forms to show some audit trail.

If you have a nominal of those that attended the course can contact them.

I know I will have raised just over £300. I am aware Dougy Marshall had a bit in his local press looking for sponsors,

not sure how much he is expecting.

Looking forward to seen some of the photos of the event etc.

Once again a massive thank you to all those involved in organising the event.

George Coulthard

Dear Bungy/Molly

Just a short note to thank you and the committee for organising such a fantastic weekend. As a 45 rating "down south" it was a privilige to be able to share 42's day at Bickleigh. The march onto the parade led by the band was amazing and as I watched from the flank it brought some large tears to this old mans eyes. You have done us all proud by putting on the event.

Another thing that gave me great comfort was as a result of speaking to some of the young serving Bootnecks. They are just us lot 25 years later!! They are keen, funny and polite young men all straining at the leash to get back out to "Ganners". Some of the same old drips still exist today, drafts, time off etc etc. They are a credit to the Corps and this Country of ours and ain't I jealous!! One of the lads was spinning a great dit about travelling around the world with some of his oppos whilst on leave. He said they visited Thailand as part of the trip. "Did you practice safe sex?" said I. He replied "Oh yeah I kept me pussers socks on!!!!" Things do not change.

Thanks again mate. I Know this weekend will be spoken about for years to come. Heres to the 30th.

Kindest Regards.

Hi Bungy.

I attended the evening bash on Saturday and had a terrific time meeting up with old comerades.   Hopefully will get to meet more in the future.   Herewith my e-mail details in case anyone else would like to get in touch, and also for future notification of events.

Rgds Jake (M Coy)

Bungy,

Just a short note to thank you for the wonderful weekend at the 42 Cdo re-union.  All the time and effort that both you and Molly put in paid off in spades.  It was truly a magnificent weekend, and one that people will be talking off for a long time to come.

Dave Devany obviously had some hand in the weather, which at times was too hot.

 Once again thanks.

Hey Boys

Thanks for the weekend, It was by anyone's standards a definite pass, on any command course.

It would seem that most of us cant forget about how life was 25 years ago, but there are some people who would like to.

I think you have done us proud with effort and determination, after all you both spring from the outstanding training programs that were in place in 1981,Paul Fletcher said to remind you.

It was a great weekend and I wish I could have spent more time there. Now I need some help

Have to go to Horse-guards on the 17. No problem ( got a talking part ) But there is a Corps RV  afterwards that requires a tick or pass. Do not even have the address.  I being out of the game do not posses either. Need to-know if either of you can swing it for me, and do I see you on the day. (Need one for Father as well).   Am at the south end of Horse-guards Sitting not marching block 2 row T seat 3 Take care boys

 My thanks

 Steve Newland

We managed to get Steve two tickets thanks to Fleet (Bungy)

Gents,

Just a short line to give my heartfelt thanks for arranging what was an unforgettable weekend.  Having just downloaded the hundreds of pictures from my camera to PC it was great to go over it again putting names to long forgotten faces.  My wife was 10 years’ old in 1982 so it helped to put into context for her what an event like this means to people like us.

The organisation of the day was impeccable and a credit to all concerned.  Will compile a CD of phots and send to Molly or Bungy?

Looking forward to London on 17th.

Best wishes,

Steve (Schools) Schooling

5 Troop, L Coy.

Hi Mate,

Just wanted to say what a fantastic weekend, you and Molly did a brilliant job so thanks to you both and anyone else that was involved.

I've got  my phots on CD so if you let me know your or Molly's address, I'll send them on to you.

One other thing, have you got a contact address and phone no for Jock Hugill please.

Thanks again, hope to see you at my house warming bash, I'll keep you informed.

Cheers

Jan

From the laughter of the Endurance course and septic tank for those silly enough.

A huge hand and thank you to all who helped make the reunion a complete success.

The run ashore at various Guz pubs and clubs.

To the parade and all its formalities.

Memories I and all those who attended will never forget.

See you in 5

AYE Tommy Tomlin
